The ServSafe® 6th Edition has been updated to reflect the 2011 Supplement to the 2009 FDA Food Code, a new job task analysis (JTA), food safety and industry best practices. The JTA process played an instrumental role in the development on the ServSafe 6th Edition. Through this process a group of industry subject matter experts identified what a manager needs to know to keep food safe. They determined a greater emphasis needed to be placed on food safety preventative measures. The result of this enhanced focus is a considerable volume of changes from the ServSafe 5th Edition to the ServSafe® 6th Edition. Over one-third of the content has changed whether through new, streamlined, revised, or eliminated content.  For more information regarding the new 6th Edition.
